Support and Guidance
We pride ourselves on the personalised support and guidance that we offer; students joining us from other institutions tell us that this is a real strength of our college.
During your two years with us, we hope that your life and your work will run smoothly, but most people encounter difficulties at some point in their career, so we have a system to help if this happens to you. The most important thing is to keep in touch with us, so that we can offer emotional or practical support, or at least understand what is going on in your world.
Problems with your Learning
It is part of our job to make sure that you receive the best possible experience in your subject lessons, but if you are struggling with your work or not enjoying one of your courses, you should speak to someone. Ideally, you will speak to your class teachers, who will appreciate your feedback as a Sixth Former. Alternatively, you can speak to your form tutor, Mr Abbotson or Mrs Clark who will pass your concerns to Mr Troth, or if you prefer you can speak to Mr Troth yourself. Either way, do not suffer in silence! Caught early, issues can be sorted out!
